Ness End Reef, Eyemouth

Travel directions:   From Glasgow, take the M8 towards Edinburgh, at the 1st roundabout, take the A720 south for several miles to the A1 (2nd roundabout) follow the A1 south.  After 70km turn left at the A1107 (this is the 2nd exit for the A1107 as it is a loop road – the 1st exit is about 10 miles before).  Carry on along the A1107 for about 1 mile then turn right at the roundabout and follow the road to the end (about 1 mile).  At the end the road will turn to the right and there is a car park next to a fish processing plant and the Aquastars dive shop

Parking directions: As you drive into the car park there is a dirt track to the right that goes up and over the hill.  Take the track and this will take you to the dive site car park.  (It is suitable for cars).  Park and Kit up

Site entry/exit:         From the car park walk to the bottom of the dirt track and along the concrete path down to the water.  At high water the path will take you deep enough to start your decent.  At low water you will have to do a GIANT stride (to miss a ledge that sticks out) into about 3m of water.  The exit at high tide is very simple – just swim up the path till you can stand up.  At low water you climb onto the pipe and out.
