Seen as we've pretty much done the best kit to death, and come up with light canon, and wee springy strap things!!! I figured we could find out people's worst bit of kit...
Mine would have to be my BCD. Not reallt it's fault, but it is now way to big for me since i lost a shed load of weight... and it now hurts my back when i dive too much :(
And for all you smart arses out there... you will find that if my camera is mentioned.. it makes your nose bleed!!!

Well.... i would go for 'dive gloves'. Im never happy really. :(
Dry gloves - great for warmth, crap for putting on.
5mm gloves - soso for warmth, crap for doing things with my fingers
3mm gloves - cold but at least i can use my camera and operate pinch clips etc.
A design fault i would say!
one of the worst things is putting on wet gloves for the 2nd dive.
murder to get on, murder to get off & they are cold & wet.
no one likes this.
a tip i got from a "hairy clam" friend works wonders.;)
next time you fill up with petrol, grab a handfull of the disposable gloves.
put a pair on with your wet gloves on top.
this will provide you with two benefits.
1. easy to slip on & off.
2. trap a small amount of air, thus keeping your hands surprisingly warmer.
because the gloves are perforated, they will flood slightly which will stop you getting a rash or itch hands if you suffer from dermatitis or other skin conditions.
now all we need is a soloution for a damp hood.
no, dont even think about using a carrier bag!

I used to take a wee flask of hot water with me... before the second dive heat up your hood with it!! It works a treat, but i can never be arsed doing it any more!!! oh.. and you sometimes get 'icecream head' when you hit the water!!!

I think the worst bit of kit is those extenders to connect a torch to with
crap plastic clips and a spring mechanism that is not designed to get
wet, about as much use as a chocolate teaspoon:( :( :(

They really are crap. Still, they keep a lot of dive shops in business :)
My list of rubbish kit... My Typhoon and Northern Diver drysuits were rubbish. I wouldn't touch Apeks cylinder valves again, they need to much looking after. When Custom Divers started out they sent a couple of reels to the shop I was working in. Took one for a dive off the Porpoise, clip broke when I hit the water... bye bye reel... Took the second one on the second dive... same thing happened. I've got a Custom Divers torch that has spent more time broke than working until it exploded in Scapa a couple of years ago. If I go through the depths of my garage I'm sure I'll find more :)
One thing I really hate are those octopus holder thingies that look like balls with a hole cut in them. Guaranteed to take your mouthpiece with it when you pull the octopus out.

Yea there is a lot of shit out there, but as u say it keeps the shops in business. we used to have a guy in the club that bought every bit of crap that was on sale. we called him the the xmas tree. He lit up in the water and was everything u did not want. :D :D
