Yes I know, but as I said, GG's already flooded 3 so I have to have a big collection. His brand new shiny Light Cannon lasted 3 minutes in the water before he flooded it....guess that's what happens when you don't tighten it down.

Yeah - the light cannon is a bit like a tamagochee. You need to treat it right or it dies ...
i know someone who's worked through 2 in teh last 3 years (i won't name her or there might be reprisals).

flooding a torch isnt that big a problem, if you notice in time. I have flooded my D8R twice and only had to replace the battery once. Everything else is fine!!

unless the salt water hits any metal or electric part & starts corrosion.;)

The whole thing was dead but he took apart the lamp consule and got it working again. Didn't think about washing out the battery thought and next time it was taken out it was totally corroded....another £70 down the drain (or should I say up in salt water)

Yep, I washed mine immediately in fresh water. excellent to watch the look on some peoples faces as you take a battery and deliberatly dunk it in a bucket of water :)

At the rate he's going, probably another Light Cannon! Actually, it's me that wants that, a second video light.

Ordered my lighting arm yesterday, so should get it tomorrow. Then it's time to play with the video camera in these dark waters.

GG's got a birthday coming up (one with a 0 on the end) so he'll maybe be lucky and get more dive kit!

No parts to come adrift. You sit it complete on a basestation to charge it.

He didn't want a big deal made of it, but if you come down to the bowling club on 13th April (Friday 13th  ) there'll be some cake. Not too much bear for gg that night; we're doing an adventure race the next day.

And it's got a 4 on the beginning.

I was thinking of finding a Master Diver who fancies a dive on 13th April, somewhere like GDRE, then Claire can say she's been over 40 too!:p :D
