they used these regs in Russia for Ice diving, but with the intermeadiate pressure slightly adjusted, and they never free flowed!
I know - I absolutely love this regulator. Nice an light, never leaks, the venturi actually works to adjust airflow, and the cold water reputation is hard to beat!
update:
Sold the Light Cannon on ebay last year and now have a Dark Buster.
Won't miss you underwater now then. Been diving with Loudy with his darkbuster (I think) and its a pretty impressive lightsaber effect you get :D
yeah - you need to be careful not to take someone's leg off :D
I was diving with someone that had a darkbuster a couple of weeks ago and found the torch really annoying - because it has a clear cover around the bulb, light seems to come out the side, which constantly blinded me throughout the dive. We were diving the Wallachia in very dark conditions with horrendous vis so we did keep close. GG's light cannon did not have the same effect however.
Has anyone else noticed this about the darkbuster?
ttut! ... always something :D
The darkbuster is a brilliant torch and mega bright, for the same spec of umbilical your talking £1000  as it uses the same battery/bulb as a 21W salvo, still to try out my new halcyon hid but i've dropped from 21W hid to 10W so i hope i'm not dissapointed

You can get a Black rubber cover to go round the bezel to stop this,if it annoys you (gonk45 has one)

I'm sure it doesn't annoy the user - just their buddy!

Need to ask reg if it annoyed him last weekend on the wallachia, though i was glad i had it when we were guddling about in the holds :D
Sorry for hijacking your thread Gord :o,i think it's good when my buddy has a bright torch (especially a new diver) as when i can see the beam out of the corner of my eye i know their beside me.
Id tell my buddy to get over it and go and buy a decent torch:D

The only annoying thing about it is it's brighter than my light cannon :( :D

A nice torch :) dived on the kintyre with stafforddiver and he was using one.
aye the dark buster's a doozie, but the quazar has a better flood effect so a wider area of view,i think the DB has a more consentrated beam!

Exactly. I much prefer the DB. My wife has a quazar and I borrowed it last week but I didn't like it. Too diffuse.
yea i suppose its down 2 preference,i like my uk800 just wish it was a whiter light, have herd u can get an led conversion for it but not sure of output!
