Two new divesites for me, on the lower east side of Loch Fyne.

Charlie's Choice (couldn't think of another name - he chose the site for us to try) is about half a mile before Otterferry. Park at a wide entrance to a gravel track midway between an old wooden pier (to North) and Otterferry (to South). Easy entry/exit on a shingle beach. The diving is on featureless shallow sand. Lots of brittlestars and old razorshells. Occasional starfish, urchins and scallops. Navigation is tricky as it is so featureless. 13m for 45 mins. Viz 5m. Temp 8 degrees.

Garrien (there are several different divesites at the place called Garrien) is a bouldery reef before Anchor Reef. Parking for several cars. Easy entry/exit on a shingle beach. The boulders drop to 30 to 40m but you do not have to go this deep. Curve round to the left and come onto 'car or van' sized boulders meeting a gently sloping slab at 10 to 15m. The 30 degrees slab is visible above water and continues below. Finish by following wall back to entry/exit site. Usual small sealoch life. Octopus found here last time Dumbarton Scot SAC dived it. 21m for 45 mins. Viz and temp similar.

i dived close to 'Charlie's Choice' a few weeks back.
reason being, we couldnt get in anywhere else.
i think most of the loch around that area is as you describe, shallow & featureless.
there was lots of oysters in the water & lots of oyster catchers parading the beach.
