struggling for footage on this one as most of it was dark.
so some shot line stuff thrown in at the end...happy bubbles!

I wonder why it was so dark, usually the bow - at 16m - stripped of plates is bathed in lovely light.

Again Stewart, please enlighten an old geezer as to your choice of music, another great track

Keep up the good work,

alex

it was a bright sunny day & generaly clear viz on the way down.
we dived it when the water was flooding but were within an eddy so not affected by the currant strength.
the viz, i assume was slightly darkened by the swirling particles.

Kasabian is the band, Empire is the track.

Yellow Submarine by Beatles? - too obvious
Song 1 by Blur - if it's an adrenaline ride
Scooby snacks by FLC - if it's a cool ride

Runnin' on empty by Jackson Browne? - I'll just get my coat

Enjoy the dive :)

Good vid - were you using any video lights?

I still can't decide what to do about video lights - either use the light cannon and buy an arm setup or buy dedicated video light. They're pricey but Gaz Guzzler's getting a new car on Monday so.....

a pint of stella pleas Alex ;)
I bet you a bag of crisps, when you hear it, you will still ask me who it is :)

Claire,
i have a greenforce 50watt HID with video defused lense.
video lights cost a fortune.
im thinking about making a defuser for another torch.
the idea being, using the defusers from office lighting systems.
the type you get within suspended celings.
i have no idea where i could find these  but i can pass some on to GG when i aquire them. he should be able to fit them in the boot of his new car...unlike the old one!

My light cannon came with a video diffuser but it's going to add quite a bit of weight to the system - particularly if i steal gg's light cannon too.

Ok, I'm not up on my music either, but wasn't it called Song 2?

not sure how heavy your unit is, but i need 2Kg on my housing to make it neutral.
more lights would help me.
i never take any extra weight for it as i dive 'nohas ark' style.
& on some dives, stage bottles attached. i drop like a stone!

i have seen the light cannon defusers, looks like a little thin flexi perspex disc.

& your right, song 2...wonder is Alex was testing us:rolleyes:

i have half of my sub video complete & still not dived it!

The system is netrually bouyant - it has a stand that clips on to the housing with a weight in it so make it like that. Ikelite's video light system's battery pack clips on to the same place. If the weight of the lights got a bit much I could always take the weight off, though it would probably unbalance the weight distribution over the camera.

What sort of lighting system do you use? Perhaps upgrading may help. I use a 100w Ikelite Pro light pack that works quite nicely.

I took this one.

I've got the 100watt Ikelite pro light sytem which I find is really nice. I use a VX2100 camera with a 16:9 aspect ratio and the light is set up for wide screen too so you get full spread. It's only got 45 mins burn time which is a bit of a bummer but it does the trick. It's got a 25w beam on the side but I gaffer tape a HID torch on top of the housing and when I want to film I search with the torch and then switch on the big light when the camera's rolling.
