Anyone fancy a couple of dives at ashton slip in Gourock on sunday morning? Haven't dived here before (tried tuesday but my buddys first stage was faulty and had to cancel) very easy entry/exit
Is ashton slip by the car park near the train station? we were over that way last year and wondered what the diving was like? If it is not there any chance of posting where it is please
Cheers

Hi Gareth,
Ashton slip is about 50 mtrs north of the Royal Gourock yacht club. Exact location is on the conger alley dive site map.
Hope this helps
Brian

I believe Johnston Scot SAC dive here. When Alan and I dived the viz was poor and it was a muddy slope. Lots of small life on a rather featureless bottom. Easy parking entry and exit and coffee shops nearby.
I suggest you don't try diving if there is a westerly as it will blow straight onto the shore.
I can't go out as I'm on call.
