well I opened my new box of XTX 200 regulators last night, connected them to a cylinder and thougt hey presto...

Except there was a small leak from the primary 2nd stage, after much knob turning IVS, RCS valve on valve off, the leak did not go away.

I phone Apeks this morning, and they are now back on their way to the manufacturer.

I am seething. After buying a new top of the range set of regulators I find they are faulty.

I am not happy :(

they should have tested them for you in the shop

They should have tested them in the factory. Apeks are usually very good with support though.

That's the problem with increasingly complicated regs. Mine are all bottom of the range TX40's, they've been at 100m+ and I've never had a problem with any (oldest is about 15yrs old, never been shop serviced). The simpler the better.

Cheers,

Stuart
