As we approach the end of 2006, the year in which Congeralley.com was born, I just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the site through the year. Thank you all for your interesting posts and all the informative and fun stuff in our little corner of googleearth!
Particular thanks to the mods for helping to keep all the stuff organised, and particularly to Alex Maclennan and John Nicolson for their outstanding contributions to our local dive guides resource.
I have been doing a bit of work to increase our rankings on the main search engines, and I can report that we are now ranking on page 1 of results for all the major search engines against the following and many other Scottish diving-related terms: "Scottish dive forum" and "Scottish dive site guides".
Our visitor numbers have increased steadily from 4,000 in April, doubling to 8,000 in August, and doubling again to 16,000 in November (of course, many of these are spiders, but that is good too as they are beavering away and pushing us up the search engine rankings against all our content).
I want to wish you all a fantastic New Year and loads of safe and happy diving in 2007!
Cheers!
