Are any of you planning on getting much diving done over the holidays?

I don't know if I'll manage any myself, although alex was mooting going out next Thursday... tempting. I actually really enjoy diving right through the winter, so this time of year should be great for those that don't get tied up with family commitments (why do trivial things like work & other commitments conspire to mess up diving activities??).

I've always fancied spending the New Year transition underwater (at least I wouldn't have to watch crap TV & sing Auld Lang Syne) but it's not going to happen for me this time. Any of you planning on doing so?

Keep us posted about what you get up to. The great thing is that it can be justified as a calorie burning activity to counterbalance the seasonal excesses.

Have a great time... :)

GG and I are planning to go out on Sat 23rd if anyone is interested. Not sure where yet - probably Conger.

I'm going up a hill on Boxing Day but I'm probably going to dive on the 27th. Maybe 29th as well. Don't know where yet though.

Cheers,

Stuart

If I can manage a miracle cure, I'll be out during the gap between christmas and new year ...

That would so cool, under water for the bells....

I get home on Friday 29th, diving Saturday, and back to work the following Thursday. I am available the whole week I'm off!

So, if anyone wants to do a Hogmananny night dive, I'm there!

Helen and I had a splash at furnace cafe this morning. First dive since October first!!!!! This has not been a good year for the log book. Normally I get at least 50 dives a year. But 2006? a measly 24 ... :( :o

My New Year's Resolution for 2007? Hmmmm let me think ....

Anyone up for this Thursday evening? H and I are going for a festive Conger Alley dive if you want to join us.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas! :)

Alan and I are in the water Thursday, but not sure where, but chance of a pint in Village at 10 pm (assuming you and Helen are up for 2 dives). See you there - and your armchair - Gord

I've tentatively raised my ass out of the armchair and into the water at Furnace today .... felt ok. Aside from a slight stinging around the area of the bedsores ...

Fingers crossed, I should be ready for Sodwana in a couple of weeks ;)
