Vehicular access to Furnace Quarry is now barred. Gates have been put up and locked to stop access. It is possible to park at the side of the road and walk to the pier though.

i was talking to the manager of furnace at a doo in the hilton for the quarry industry. the reason for this equipment went missing and some was vandilsed so the site now has a new gate and cameras it is possiable to ask for accsess if the site is open.
