Being new to the forum, is there a button that allows to "view recent posts", as I find its easier to keep track of current posts. Maybe an idea.

There's a New Posts (http://www.congeralley.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew) link in your usercp module which is the box with your avatar in it towards the top of the home page (when you're logged in).
How long do new post's stay in the New Threads, doesn't seem to hold them there for long

Once YOU'VE read them, they're no longer "New Posts"... ;)
You do have a point there, just there dont seem to be many post's and thought I'd scared everyone off haha, must be just quiet

I find they stay new as long as you haven't logged on - so expect 300 messages when you get back from holiday.
But, you do have to be careful not to log on, go for lunch and expect to come back and find your messages - once the system tells you they are new it seems to flick that switch and won't take you to individual posts an hour later.
