Hi
For the past 3 years we have used coastal dive centres in the UK as a base for the public to try out the latest Scubapro Uwatec equipment and to experience UK diving. Depending on the location the diving has been by boat or shore and has been completely free of charge. In addition we have had lots of promo items given away on the day and held a raffle for all attendees, usually a prize worth over £500.00. They have been a great success, with hundreds of divers have taking part and in some cases completing their first ever sea dives in the UK. We understand that many divers wish to try equipment before they buy and this is an ideal opportunity to do so.
This year will again see the attendance of Sport Diver magazine and representatives from PADI, who will be on hand to give advice and a professional photographer to answer your photographic queries.
If you would like to attend you can either contact the dive centre hosting the event and they will be able to give you more details of available boat spaces or you are welcome to turn up on the day and take a chance at getting a space.

Charlie and I will be there.. I want to see if ALL A700s sound like seals out the water :-)

The 'seal' noise that some divers have experienced in A700 is caused by the diaphragm vibrating on the surface. The high performance characteristics of the regulator and the responsiveness of the diaphragm have caused this which we now have a solution for.
There is a new diaphragm available as a free upgrade, which every dive centre which has sold A700's will have now been sent a supply. Alternatively feel free to come along on the Diving Days and we can insert the new diaphragm while you wait.
To reassure all current owners the vibrating of the diaphragm is not a safety issue or hinders the performance of the regulator. As soon as there is an increase in ambient pressure, when diving, the diaphragm is 'dampened' and the noise stops.
Hope this helps and we look forward to seeing you all in Largs.

yes - they breathe perfectly in the water but my god you get some funny looks on boats or when wading in on a shore dive
I will see you on 23rd for a fix :-)
cheers - Gordon

Big Thanks To All At Scubapro, C&C, Padi, and Sport Diver.
Great day at Larges and there was an Aladdin’s Cave of the best diving kit to rent/hire for FREE.
The staff and customers had a great day out. If you're free to dive tomorrow, Sunday 23rd May, get down to the marina at Largs and have a FREE dive.
Good day all round and I know the staff and students had a great time today!
Many Thanks.

Car started boiling over at Harthill..put a litre of water in...same again..turned off at Bellshill and put 3 litres in at a filling station and limped home.
Missed the dives and the reg fix :-)
And worst of all, the car was fine all the way home! How can that happen?

Regs are silenced....finally got round to taking them to Dougie at EDC and so my surface breathing is quieter than a snake on warm oil :-)

Hi All
We will be in Ireland this weekend for the next of the diving days, it will be taking place at Scubadive West in Renvyle. They have a superb facility with lots of opportunities for both shore and boat diving.
I know a few people are travelling over so if anyone else on here will be coming I look forward to seeing you.
James
Been there and dived with them. Beautiful location, visibility like vodka! There's a nice little wreck sitting on a flat seabed surrounded by sea cucumbers. Good pub too ;-)
