The course will start at the begining of March.
The first evening will kick of with an equipment session and then straight off to the pool with the twinsets and side slings and straight into some skill practice for the required skills to complete the course. This will probably take place on the first Monday of March, depending on my movememnts. I will confirm this nearer the time.
There will be 2 dives carrying out skills, a deep air and a shallow one.
There will be 2 Deep dive's down to a max depth of 60 mtrs.
The classroom will be carried out over 8 hours with a final exam
Look forward to seeing you all then
Ian

Is 60M feasible on a shore dive at the slates with a descent of 15m/min?
I was at 50M on Sunday and it took us 9 mins to get there. (50M was the target depth because my buddy wanted to log it.) We didn't hang about but the slope didn't allow us to drop any faster.
The last 2 or 3 metres were a very gentle slope and I got the impression it would not get much deeper.
We went straight out from the entry point. I seem to recall going left, round the point on my course dive. Does it get deeper faster there?

straight off end of point, and believe it or not I have done 60 there quite a few times.....and if you do your Tx I will prove it!!!!!;)and it it a bit of a swim, but alot less than the Kintyre:)

And the way my legs are feeling this morning after the Kintyre last night that would be a good thing. :D
