Yeah mate went open up the cylinder and got a wee bang from the seal lucky loudy and Iain was there to point me in the right direction and hand over a spanner to re tighten it so i could get back in the water

So you had already done a dive! Did you build your 1st and 2nd stage or the shop?

yeah mate i had done a dive already it was built at the shop there was not damage or anything at all just lose

Lucky you, the gauge is on the HP port so if it had come off during the dive then you'd be looking at an empty tank perhaps, before you could get to the surface. Always a good idea to build up your own kit, 9/16ths spanner is all you need. Anyway, dive safe.

HP port will not empty a cylinder very fast at all because it has a tiny orifice. A full tank will take over half an hour to drain. The LP side on the other hand will drain a cylinder very rapidly as it is full bore. You've got less than a minute if that goes. Even less at depth!!:eek:
