Joe,
If I paid £295 for a set of tide tables I wouldn't be able to afford a trip to the Sound Of Mull, or be out of hospital in time for it if the wife found out. :D:D:D:D

Yes, Dave, it's the Day Tides app; use the GPS to find the nearest port etc.

I recently changed from a standard diving watch to a Rip Curl Bells ATS watch.

Still proof down to 200m, but has all the tides programmed into it, and can be set for my local beach!

good for surfing, good for diving

win, win

day tides...
i also have it on my iphone, team it up with the 'wind-guru' app and your sorted before you even have to get off the sofa.
ideco isnt to bad an app either but might be an idea to lower the conservatism a little.

Also, seems like a bit of a false economy to use a :o***free app***:o on a phone that locks you into a 24 month contract! I'd have bit the bullet and paid the £2.50!

Still, i herd it haz gps...

I use Easy Tide from the Admiralty, it's an online tide planner, works quite well from my phone. Again, free to use.

Not if you've already got the phone. I suppose if you were buying into the phone just for a cheap tide planner it might not make sense...

hmmm wish i thought of that before i took out my 18 month contract with O2.
600 minutes, 600 texts and free unlimited internet and a free tide planner app! what was i thinking
still since its all tax deductable for me and i can afford the electricity to charge it, i think i got a good deal. ;)
on the other hand, if i were flat broke, id pop into the harbour masters office and pick up a few free paper tide planners and stick them down my shirt next to my big issue.
after all, it is cold out there at the moment.

have a merry xmas and dont forget the homeless this year. :)

Aye, Mr Revenue is very generous, he pays Vodafone for me as well :D Tax return time though in a few weeks... :(

Does the Evening Times still have tides in it? That'd give you much better insulation than a copy of the tide tables. You could wear them as a hat I suppose.

Agreed on the last bit, I do genuinely feel sorry for anyone on the streets in this weather.
