Andy, Alex and I had a great dive at Finnart last night. We were constantly buzzed by Beryl throughout the dive. Alex had never seen a seal underwater before and got quite a fright the first time it happened!

This is the first time I have seen Beryl and she is one big seal! Also saw lots of little shrimpy things, 2 cuttlefish and other stuff.

Normally we head out deeper to find all the dublin bay prawns but there was quite a current running at depth last night so kept to about 22m.

Also met Scuba Doh, who has a fleeting flash of Beryl on video.

My first time meeting a seal underwater and it's quite a rush. Took me a while to get my breathing rate down and empty my mask after all the laughing.

Video is posted on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nand) along with photos of the cuttlefish (only my second time seeing them and the first time I've had a camera).

Awesome dive, definitely up there as one of the best.

Fantastic pics of the cuttlefish Mark.

We've done 3 night dives at Finnart in the last 4 weeks and I have seen between 2 and 4 cuttlefish each time. I'm going to take my video camera next week - hopefully see Beryl too!

Nice shot of the Little Cuttlefish. He/She is showing you that it's pissed off by flashing RED at you. Nice set!

Sorry to hear about the injury Sharon. Hope it's better soon.

I twisted my ankle again a few weeks ago while hill walking - almost had to be carried off the hill! I couldn't dive the next day and was a bit gutted watching everyone else go in. It's feeling a bit stronger now and I've just started running on it again so it's getting better. Hope you get better too. xx
