I assume the seal we met at Conger Alley on Sunday was Beryl. She hung around for a couple of minutes so I got the impression she was used to divers. She also buzzed a few other divers at different depths.
Never seen her that far up the loch before, but always a pleasure to see her looking so good!!

Beryl has a couple of scars on her back, and she has been spotted over the past years up at the old Alley.
I'm glad she is still around. How old to seals live too?
between 25-45 years depending on species and whether male or female

Remember her as a pup ;)
Yip Beryl's back, Myself and Big wull were constantly buzzed by her on Wed night, all the way through the dive. At one point i thought she was going to take my arm off, i watched her chase a fish that came right round in front of me, Beryl followed, i assume she got districted by the reflective strip on my arm and just stopped dead next to it stared for a few seconds and then swam off. Excellent dive cheers Big Wull .

gutted i missed it on wednesday night - stupid car
Not to rub salt in the wound Scotty boy, but i have seen Beryl on four occasions but this time she really wanted to play. We dropped down to 25 meters and viz about 5meters and i could not work out why there was silt being thrown up in front of me , then out of the darkness i caught the marbled colouring of beryl. She stuck with us all the way through the dive, i kept shining my torch on fish then she would slip out of the darkness grab the fish then disappear in to the dark. Twice she came up and circled me inches from my body she had a right good look at us. She was close enough to touch, but i kept my hands to myself, although the second circle she flicked her tail right in my face just missing me by inches. It was like being dive bombed. A there is always next week :D
