Wild day with high wind, lots of rain, and white horses on the waves in Upper Loch Long.
Below the water, it was very different. Viz 3 to 5m and no appreciable difference between the fresh water that must be layering on top and the salt below. Temp still 11 degrees.
This time we found the wreck. Follow the 14m contour after passing through the two piers and you'll come to the wreck. Its is about 7 or 8m and all that's left is a little bit of the bow and a couple of ribs - more a skeleton than wreck. Lots of anemones, sea squirts and worms on the spars.
The reef is only 20m further away. Again lots of life on and under the boulders/rocks, a couple of big congers, bib, gobies, edible crabs.
Lots of clabby doos on the silty sand.
