Things we covered at the meeting and will go ahead.

There will be a Quartly newsletter issued so we can all communicate within the team with all up coming training and expeditions

Myself, James and Kenny have formed a partenership in the ownership of a 5.5 metre RIB with a 125 HP outboard, this will enable us to look at further afield wrecks offshore. We also have my 110 Land Rover Defender for launching the RIB in more difficult to Access area's.

There are 5 Inspiration divers in the team and 1 Evo diver coming on board in November and the rest diving twinset's

We are looking at diving U33 in the Autum once we get the RIB up to speed, also heading out to HF near oban

Next year we will be doing the deeper wrecks off Northern Ireland in the 40mtr to 80mtr range on a week long liveaboard trip

In 5 weeks from now we will be doing a Training dive and Trimix dive over 2 days on a weekend, I will post details

Please feel free to add anymore ideas you might have to this thread

Cheers

Ian

Have you any intentions of joining ??????

In regards to U33, we havent done that yet (well I have) due to commitment things are very slow.

I now have a 5.2 mtr rib and a 125 on the stern, once I get the Landrover on the road I will be looking a getting more deep stuff in south of oban, got a few targets to look at.

Cheers

Its a sound idea, most clubs have a few divers who have technical qualifications and don't get the chance to use them that often. I guess with you doing a fair bit in the way of the technical training in south soctland, having a dive club or organisation available for them that does technical diving is really good.

I guess I'm half considering doing something similar with the BSAC region, but did not want to re-invent the wheel. I'm already organising a bit of deeper diving and it would have been nice to have joined another group occasionaly rather than doing lots of organising. Marinequest offers dives that you can book per person which does make life a bit easier.

I will keep an eye out for what your doing. Good luck with it all.

Gareth.

( U 33 is deffo on the list at some point, but a nice hard boat and lift would be the most relaxing way to dive it ! )
