View Full Version : lead shot
Hi Can anyone tell me where I can get lead shot or lead free shot for my weight belt. I know its a long shot but some where around fort William or Inverness would be good. Loose is OK as I can seal it myself.
Many thanks

Are there no dive shops in your neck of the woods. Fishing shops should sell it too. Sorry can't be more specific as I am from sunny Glasgow!
No dive shop out on these lonley isles :) its hard enough to get tanks filled,
I have purchased it from a gun smiths before, but we have not got one of those.
i looked at lead shot before but as i,m tight and a builder i just cut up some old lead sheet of the job. i use a harness thou no good for a shot belt:o
umm Its because I have just bought a harness off ebay that I need the shot, lead strip now thats an idea, thanks

I shore dive with a DUI harness but the pockets are fine for holding standard 4lb lead weights.

Try a gun shop or shooting ground.Must be some in area
www.deepbluedive.com sells lead shot and will post it to you. It appears to be £5.95 postage, but it seems to be a standard rate no matter how much shot you order.
That sounds great Claire, thank you very much.

Not to far from you...;)
Hi Ding thanks for that, but I have already order the stuff from deep blue now, the over 30 post and packing offer is to good to resist, plus they have a few other things I need as well, but thanks all the same.
Thanks for the URL Claire, some damm good deals on there as well , might even treat myself to a new 12 tank for 125, plus the northern divers dry gloves, plus, plus, :)

For cylinders I would recommend www.godive.net or www.kentdiving.co.uk - price if I remember correctly was just over £100 including postage.
the postman will be looking for a big tip this christmas :)
