finally got on the wallachia four of us were out on the club rib on sunday .weather was great only four out so plenty of room. a bit heavy fuel bill thou , we had arranged to meet up with a club up from preston to dive the akka.a nice run down to the site with the three ribs.had a nice one on the akka viz was so-so the preston lads headed home thay had been up since friday. we had lunch on the dunoon peir then headed out to the wallachia we found it no probs. it isnt bhoyed. ross stayed on the rib .due to a leaking drysuit so we went in as a three. had a look round the deck went round the stern found a beer bottle .then back up a realatively short dive due to the depth avoiding deco. the viz was the same as the akka.i will definately be back thou . the wallachia still looks like a ship not the usual flat pack .

well done daytona12.
you got there at last!
there are generally 2 buoys on it, one at each end, the heavy traffic in the area must be the reason for them being knocked off.
if your nitrox quallified, use a 32% mix, just perfect for it.
a 43 minute total run time with a 35 minute bottom time will give you 6 minutes of stops.
an air profile to the same depth (30m) will give you 14 minutes of stops, with a 30 minute bottom time, total run 45 minutes.
well worth the extra couple of quid for the fill & built in safety.

safe diving.

Put a wire from an old champane bottle on the top to stop the cork comming out as the beer stinks something aufull....;)

Whats the deepest part of the dive and how deep? :)
the sea bed is 34 meters.

& just to back up dings comment, it stinks worse than a team of wild ox.
i once pushed a cork back into one only to be met by the rancid fluid in the face.
it caused a slight skin sensation, & after a shower, i could still smell it.:(

yeah, smells awfull, but tastes great.

re:nitrox.
basic nitrox is a class-room excercise.
it makes no real odds with which affiliation you train for nitrox as the equations remain the same.

Contact Ian Reid Atlantic divers he is an IANTD nitrox instructor and has run nitrox courses for Eastwood divers. I'm shure he could help you.
