Went for a dip today near Glen douglas road end, a big gap in the cliff just before GDRE called midway ( location info from Alex Maclenan ) not a brilliant site. It is a gentle slope down to 53m with firwork anemone. These are just so photogenic. Scotish sea lochs can be world class

and lots of crabs and long claw squat lobster, a snail was laying eggs on the pink coral.

Got a very poor shot of a bird underwater...

So I took a few half in half outs. this is a view from the water looking towards the road. There is a wall here which helps you find the exit point (the left in this picture)

Looks as if you had a nice day: I wish I'd been there with you (although maybe not at 53m ;))!

Have a nice weekend, are you going to be getting wet?

Ding,

Did I show you this site which I think is called Midway? You park in the big laybye with the 'weeping wall' . Cross the A814 about 20m north of the laybye. There is a steep dirt track and then climb down a tree root ladder?

I have a topside divesite description but have never dived the site - is the UW topography similar to GDRE - it is only a mile or so south of GDRE?

It sounds like the place u r talking about, I would say GDRE was beter cause it was a featureless slope but I think more exploration is needed before I write it off.

I will need to explore this site more, I'm hoping to find a boulder slope like conger alley or a cliff face like stalion rock, well I can dream...

Cool pics as usual. I think the 'half in half out' ones are pretty smart:)

Alex Maclennan says this site is called midway cause its midway up the Loch..
So soon on Scotish divesites there will be a dive description to help any of you divers out there who have not dived here...

All the above pictures were taken at Midway...:D

The divesite description for Midway is now on Scottish divesites
And just in case there is somebody who does not know how to find the scottish divesites, go to the homepage and its on the top left....;)

This is the part of the road where u park near Glen douglas road end GDRE
