can't change my email address

I'm leaving my job at Edinburgh Uni, and will shortly lose my email address here that I use for everything.

I've started a googlemail account, but when I try to change my profile to use this account instead it just tells me that my new email is banned :mad:
It does give me the option to contact an admin, but when I click this it just takes me back to the page with my email preferences and puts it back to my old address ???

How do I change it?

I am using Firefox 3 on a mac, is this part of the problem?

That's changed now.

We get a lot of spammers who try to register using gmail accounts so I've set it up as not-allowed for registrations. In trusted cases though I can override it (i think). Let me know if there's any problem left. :)

I had the same problem when I tried to register with CA. Ended up I had to open a Yahoo account just for this!!

Can I get mine changed?:D
