As you may be aware Aquatron are running a Beach Clean-Up this weekend at the A Frames in Loch Long. Several CA members have come up with the idea that they will collect litter at the sites they are diving all over Loch Long and Loch Fyne that weekend in conjunction with International Beach Clean-Up Day.

What I would ask is that anyone collecting litter this weekend at any of the sites can pop in to Aquatron and collect Litter Pickers and Gloves to protect yourselves during the event. We would also ask that you drop off all collected litter and kit you've borrowed at the A Frames before 4:00pm on Sunday. This way we can accumulate all the information that Argyle and Bute council require as well as inform Project Aware. We have arranged a special rufuse collection for this spot. Remember there is a BBQ and competitions and raffle with a top prize of a Suunto Vyper 2 computer during the day and all proceeds go to charity.

Any questions or thoughts let me know.

Cheers

Chris - It might also be a good idea to communicate this project to Douglas Grierson regarding the Loch Fyne access issue. It is a good example of divers caring for the environment. This might help him build his case for us.

Whenever I am diving I always collect any rubbish I see and bring it back to be disposed of correctly anyway
