Yeah it was amazing, dare i say it i was getting a bit bored with bluewater diving till this happened. We had the reef on our right shoulder and i just saw the DM finning like crazy into the blue (i thought wtf has he seen ) i took off after him,i've never swam so fast underwater (whilst trying to find my camera and switch it on :o) we got pretty close maybe 3-4M away from it,the other two in our group got left behind and didn't see it :o.

Off to the straits of tiran and jackson reef in the morning to try and see hammerheads :)

The group from Dumbarton Scot SAC saw a whaleshark at Ras Katy on their check dive from the Orchid last year.

Unfortunately, check dive = no cameras :(

Ha ha ha ha PMSL there DG! :D:D What short memories they have. Tho not even you nor I can remember the storms of 1953 that my mum told me about! They thought the end of the world was coming...
This is just a wee drop of rain! What do they expect? It's SUMMER!:D

Thank you for the compliment, but I was around then, though I don't remember the weather, I was too young. All my childhood summers were sunny :D:D ps what does your abbreviation mean:confused:
pps It is also (nearly) the Glasgow Fair!

I was told that Jackson Reef in July was the best for seeing hammerheads.
Good luck. SG
