What's wrong with using butane from a lighter refiller on a tennis ball? Worked for me. That was one cool game of hot potato!
(Note: use this stupid idea at your own risk, we managed to escape harm by sheer luck and I would not be happy if someone got injured attempting this. Oh and be sure to keep the lighter refilling can away from where you play with the fire ball.)
it would certainly make Euro 2008 more entertaining, the viewing figures would tripple...less hand ball incidents & less hair-spray.:D

Back on the original thread. When we were in Cancun, we visited a park, (Xcaret?) and they had a demonstration of an ancient Mayan game played with a burning football. It was pretty spectacular.
Craig, if you get the chance when you are over there, take a trip to Xcaret. They also do swimmming with dolphins experieneces but you would need to prebook that.
