This report was originally posted on YD forum. I have reposted in case anyone is interested.

Our family spent two weeks at the Anastasia Resort in Halkidiki, Greece booked through Neilson Beach Clubs brochure in July 2005. I had contacted Phreddie at the Odyssey Dive Club by email beforehand, which is the club affiliated with Neilson and ended up doing the following dives, using air in 12l steel tanks:

4/7/05 Porto Valitsa left and right hand side as shore dives. 27m, 50 mins & 19m, 50 mins.
6/7/05 Porto Valitsa as night dive with lots of beer at dive club after. 24m, 45 mins.
7/7/05 Avaton & Kanistro as boat dives. Both walls. 28m, 50 mins & 27m, 50 mins.
11/7/05 Porto Valitsa left and right hand side again, with my wife. 19m, 50 mins & 18m, 50 mins Our kids did a 'Discover Scuba' dive with Carla which they loved.
13/7/05 'Mitilini' wreck as boat dive. 20m, 50 mins.

Diving was not as 'in your face' as red sea but good variety of fish and nudibranchs. Occasional octopus. A John Dory (club emblem) was seen by Howard, one of the Neilson staff, during my stay.

Ludo and Phreddie run the Club. Roy, Carla and Hoss are instructors. The staff are very friendly, professional, safety conscious, and certainly good with kids. I would happily recommend this dive club. Ludo says about 60% of their clients are returns as they now have about 20 divesites mapped.
