Aquatron are happy to announce we will be running a Padi IDC (Instructor Development Course) from 25th June until 2nd July 2008 to coincide with the IE (Instructor Examination) on the 8th and 9th July.
There will be an Assistant Instructor Course starting on the 16th June to have all Divemasters ready for the IDC. On Tuesday 24th June we will start the Staff Instructor Induction for all those Instructors wishing to increase their level.
We are welcoming candidates from all over Scotland to participate. Schedules and price lists can be sent via email to all those that are interested.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone that may be interested to cross-over from instructor level or equivalent from SSAC, BSAC, etc.
Any questions feel free to drop me a line.
Chris

Hey Davie,
Well done on passing your IE mate! I bet you're looking forward to putting all those new found skills to the test? :D
There will be a Padi Course Director on hand during the IDC that will also be teaching some Specialities. What Spec's and when I'm not sure yet but I will be able to confirm closer the time. If your interested and back in the UK then drop me a line.
Congrats again mate.
Chris
Thanks Chris.
I fly back tomorrow.
I got my EFRI Instructor and I also did the new PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Instructor Course too.
Now I just need to get back home wait on the Teaching Status being sorted and find a friendly dive centre that wants some help to let me get some experience team teaching in the UK. know one? ;)
there's 2 types of dive centres in the world
1. dive centres with a high turn over of staff
2. dive centres where the staff stay
Aquatron currently have 20 staff (most have been there for the last 2-3 years)

thats a bit unfair or perhaps missleading IMHO, most dive centres are seasonal (April to October) so take on personal if and when required on a freelance basis.
when they close for winter, everyone goes home with no wages.
fair play to Aquatron for keeping so many 'staff' on their books:), i assume most are freelance as well.
& now off topic...:)
well done DavieG...:D:D:D
this mean you can teach me to dive now?:)
if so, i have a spare place in my dive wallet without a card.
what do you recommend i put in it?

A friend of mine has a cycling proficiency card he pulls out whenever he gets asked for one. He's been diving for 20yrs and it's the only card he's got :D
had 2 suggestions via PM,
one being a donor card
the other being a condom..:D

Well you don't need a card to dive, it would just get wet and soggy anyway :D
