However, unbeknown to me, my wife is flying to her meeting the night before her Tuesday meeting - can't come - arrrrgggggg :(

The bridge is installed, however it remains in the "up" position and can be raised and lowered...by hand. However this is controlled by the Harbour Master and requires good justification, probably not a handful of divers wanting to dive. The Dunbar Harbour trust are awaiting the power company to install the new power supply to the mechanical/electrical workings to allow the bridge to be lowered and raised as and when required. Anticipated completion.....who knows.
I get regular emails from the trust updating me and not had an update since end of November, but installing new power supplies is not regularly done in winter months, due to the need to usually shut of a supply for a new connection.

The bridge was still open (for boats, ie no use to rest of us) last weekend. The harbour trust website has had a couple of updates since the last email. The last mention of the power supply was in december and said it would be finished by now, but apparently not yet.
