at the tail end of last year i managed to blag a digi cam and housing of the parents for my birthday. i'm gradually getting better at the whole lighting/focussing thing but would like to touch them up to try and get properly decent photos on the computer.
where can i purchase photoshop and how much is it?? i'm guesing theres several different versions so which one is best/good value for money??

cheers

PS is expensive. It's about £500 online at the moment, largely because it's intended to be a professional graphics tool for commercial use. You probably want to look at Photoshop elements (a stripped back version for domestic use) or lightroom. I've not used either of the last two, but i think theyr'e pretty good - google would know :)

Otherwise, there's free open-source image editors like the Gimp or Picasa that are free to download.

You guys are really looking after the poor student well... almost brings tears to the eyes... hope that you're grateful, scotty

He deserves it though, as he has had the patience of a saint in being a very attentive uni training officer through quite trying times

Looking forward to seeing some of these mythical photos that you've taken, Scott. You've told us all about them here on CA & on our club forum (http://susac.myfreeforum.org), so it will be nice to see some... might make me a bit too homesick though

awfully nice of you to say so charlie. well unfortunately i'm stuck in Machrihanish on dissertation at the mo, and said photos are on my computer in the flat all the way back in sunny Stirling, but once i'm back from banjo country i'll stick some before and after photos up for all you critics to swoon over :D
