I remember hearing that you can accidentally kill sea turtles during night dives because they have lowered there breathing so much so they can sleep that if you startle them they might not make it to the surface.

I know the one about Turtles have great hearing but crap eyesight must be true
Thus so many of the poor fellows choke to death on plastic bags because they think there jellyfish.

There are a number of stories of leatherback turtles during mating season (with bad eyesight)
Trying to mate with people (snorkelling). God that would be funny photo.

This one has to be a myth = The butterfly fish mates for life and if there partner dies they kill themselves either by not eating or by giving themselves up as food.

Anyone got move myth or fact?

Fact - when stuck in the Arctic do not eat Polar Bear's Livers - Chockablock with Vitamin A - you get Hypervitaminosis A - does terrible things to your skin and eyes.

Fact - Bears when hibernating are as metabolically active as when 'awake'. They do not pee. Instead their creatinine byproduct of metabolism is recycled into muscle. Bears are less fat but more muscular after hibernating.

Fact - bears grazing on cloudberries can eat up to half a million per day (each cloudberry has one seed - someones PhD was counting cloudberry seeds in bearshit)
