does anyone know if there is a charter company( or maybe a club rib that welcomes visitors) that dives out of troon. never dived down there before but quite fancy it.

I'm not sure how you get an invite onto 'The Hairy Clam'. This is a private diveboat that runs out of Troon. Stewart Russell was the 'deckie' on it which is why he has dived the Troon wrecks so many times.
The only commercial boat I know of is an old gaff rigged cutter

as Alex suggests, i get an invite on to the H.C. so not my place to invite others along really.
might be worth asking Ayr ssac, i think they have a rhib. might be someone on here who will confirm that.

dived it many times myself, good dive that generally offers clear viz as its mainly a sandy sea-bed around that area.
best viz i ever had on it was 30m... no kidding, worst viz was probably 3m.
