Time to choose.
One week's holiday. One £600. Where do you go? Stromness or Sharm.
Gogs - sorry about the chippy poll. I think Chippy Sauce must be an East Coast thing. The Weegies were confused ...
Well.....
I went for Scapa.... Although i havent actually been to the Red Sea!
Reasoning - been to Scapa twice so far. Would go again at the drop of a hat if someone gave me £600 (Offers Anyone????)
Abroad ive dived in Tobago (a weeks worth), Minorca, Cyprus (Zenobia!), and the odd wee dive when on Holiday. Most of them have been great!
But... when in all these lovely tropical countries there is loads to see - but i quite like having to look for things! Its more fun when you find something!
Also, im always cold when wearing a wetsuit! Much warmer in my nice drysuit!
Yeah, I was really struggling with this choice. But the thought of lying on the warm deck and then falling into that warm water by Ras Muhammad... with the big blue drop off. I had no choice in teh end.

I had to say Sharm...one you get over the 'anthea fever' and start looking in holes like you do back home, the amount of amazing wee things you can find is amazing... and its nice and warm..
Got to be the Red Sea, was there last summer and had a blast!
Would want to do Scapa too though, but the thought of being back on a liveaboard in Sharm, with warm water and sunshine swing it for me.....

Sunshine? Pah, much more fun going in your sleeping bag mid day to try and warm up coz you hung on the shotline for too long!

I'm of to scapa Fri night the cost of a weeks diving and accom is £250 + travel and beer :D
