Anyone know what this is? I thought it might be some kind of tubeworm

Thay are lovely bright photos. Diving in Scotland in a wet suit in this weather Brrrr.. :eek:

Stunning photos! Love the colour in the starfish and you get some decent vis/range.

what do you think? is it like the one you saw? your pic makes it look quite big
The tube is made of sand and shell particles stuck together with mucus (yuk!)

Mint picks, almost felt like the starfish was crawling out me monitor :eek:

The tube is made of sand and shell particles stuck together with mucus (yuk!)

Could be except that it was about 6" and was attached to rocks. It looked like a peacock worm but with the feathery bits. Maybe those were another creature growing on top of it just to confuse us.
