I agree that Weasel Loch is a great site. When we dived it in July, we were the only divers there despite it being a perfect summer day. Guess that some are put off by the climb down (and up ;) ), but we think it's well worth it :cool:
Yes, thanks Charlie. One of my all time favourite sites. There used to be a resident wolf fish at the grotto, remember him Ding! Is he still there? I also remember a really scenic reef straight out from the loch itself which had a narrow sandy bottomed gully that twisted and turned, "the cresta"? or perhaps that is conger reef.
Its the only wolf fish I have ever seen and u never forget a wolf fish :eek:

I have done this site from the shore (steps from hell!) and from a boat (those lovely people at Aquastars). The boat version is much more memorable for the hundreds of fish that followed us around and a mishap with my buddy loosing his weights and not noticing (we managed to find and relocate them!). Then me getting cut free from a fishing line.

Have never dived it from a boat, always the the stairs from hell. At least they put a seat half way up so you can have a wee rest. Great dive on a sunny day and no swell. :)
