View Full Version : Night dive Friday 28th?
Anyone fancy a wee splash on Friday night. I was thinking a Beryll watch at the Caves.
I'm working until 1630 so could meet about 1800
Would love to but working tomorrow and Fri, working to 1700 Fri.
If you can magically produce a pair of full cylinders (or collect mine tomorrow sometime and fill them) then I'll be up for a dive on Friday!
Al (up the hill in Gourock).
I could pick them up tomorrow and get a fill on Friday, I need to get mine topped up anyway.
I'm going to Dunoon after work tomorrow so would need to pick them up on the way back. Probably the back of 10.

We went to dive there today but because it was pi**ing down went to the A frames. The entry point just looked too slippy. Might get in but getting out would have been a nightmare.

We'll have a look. Personally I find getting in the hairy part at the caves. Getting out is much easier, but that's me....
i dived the caves this morning (when you were at work:D)
the viz was about 5-6m.
how was it tonight?
Had a good dive tonight. The rain didn't really let up and Beryl doesn't love me any more :(
Apart from that a good dive with Midton (who now has spring traps on his shopping list :D) Okto-Bear and some non CA members . There where some nice big Pollack or maybe Saith. Davy and John seen a big Lobster out for a wander. We also seen two legs of the biggest spiny starfish I've seen. I also seen what I think was a Lesser Pipefish at 2m just as we where getting out plus the usual Caves fayre.
32mins, 26.8m max, 11.4deg C, 2-3m viz
One thing to add to the leasons learned though.... don't use your car lights with the engine off for kitting up. A wee jump start was needed :o
Another leason learned is don't assume that red wires going to a battery terminal means that is the +ve :o
I then dropped my dinner when I go home....... I need to sleep :(
Cheers again to Midton for the dive :D
you seem to have a thing about the caves & your car not working...
didn't you call the A-team...? :D

It does seem to be a bit jinxed  Good excuse for a new car :D
John and Davy had all ready left, I had to phone them to come back and give me a jump start :o
