On my 7th ever dive i was buddied with a divemaster in the forth,we descended down the shot into a stiff current, once reaching the bottom (13M) we exchanged ok signals and headed off into the current.
I was struggling to keep up here and my weight belt was slipping down (unknown at the time but the clip had broke) so this divemaster fins off into the green murk and i'm left wrestling with this weight belt which by now is round my knees scared to move incase i lose it and surface like a polaris.

By this time I'm breathing like an asthmatic pervert and absolutly crapping it,13 mins into the dive i've got 80 bar left from a 15L cylinder  i'm looking up towards the surface which i can't see and thinking what'll i do,divemaster eventually shows up and we get it sorted and surface.

It was 2 months before i dived again as i wasn't sure diving was for me after that :( .

Another one i had which is just stupidity was a night dive at the A frames in february,on the first dive my torch died so i switched to my back up and that died too :( so i followed my buddies torch back But........ we'd planned two dives i mean we had the cylinders so why don't we just use the one torch for the next dive :p.

Yep you guessed it his torch died half way through the next dive (he'd no back up) it's a good job we'd stayed a shallow 25M ,we managed to grab each other but couldn't see a thing.

My computer had a back light so that's all we had,we managed to get up to 5M and did safety stop and surfaced in the middle of loch long followed by a long surface swim,

I learned a lot from those dives (he says sheepishly :o )
