All those who would be willing to chuck £2 quid Gords way to keep the site ad free say aye

£2 one off or once a month, once a year, once every 5 years???
I said yes, but that was on the basis this was once a year, not once a day or something else. I would pay more if required, but is this what's needed - 10 people at £2pa, 20 people at £2pa, 30 people at £2pmonth ?????. There is core user base here of, what, 20-30 users? Not everyone will contribute so are we in the ball park?
How would you propose contributions be paid?
Paypal........fees are incurred.
Bank transfer........would you pass details onto people over the web
Cheque........needs paying into a bank not everyone has time to get to there branch.
Subscription......costs involved there?
Im not being negative I just think for the sake of a 8 inch by 1 inch header with a few ads in is the easiest and probably most cost effective way of funding this forum. Additionally why should some "core users" pay to keep it when others who may use this less frequently not pay or browse as a guest.
You dont have to read the ads they are just there, bit like people complaining about television programmes, simple answer dont watch them change channel.
Wasnt there similiar rumblings several months ago when the site changed its format............................

Probably wouldn't have noticed them for a while if you hadn't asked. I'd throw in £2 if it came to it.

cheers, but i seriously wouldn't take the money anyhow.
As i said in teh other thread, these ads are similar to the banner on YD; i think it looks ok, but if it's a big issue, i'll happily take them away. I'd prefer to keep them though :D
