Hello.
Is there anyone between jobs or otherwise free during the week for a dive?

I'm on a course all next week but after that I'll be choking to get out whenever I can.

Yeah, as long as you don't mind diving either St Abbs, Eyemouth, Powmill, Lochs on the West Cost or even Fife Ness if the weather holds out.

GW, Chill, I'm sure GUE works for some people and the training is worth it, but some of us just want to dive and can't be bothered with the DIR way of diving. DIR or DIW as long as your safe, know your buddy and agree on the dive plan, who cares. Have to say though that the DIR Doubles look the NUTS and I'm thinking of buying a set from DIR DIRECT cause there a bargain. Won't buy a HALICON wing though as there not for me.

Frog midnite is a spot on wing the donut shape works very well with longer heavier tanks.

Yes, Ive had a Frog wing since last year when they first came out. Some have said the corrugated inflator is slightly to short but for me it seems just the right length, however they can be replaced obviously. Before that I used my Zeagle ranger which is a horseshoe shaped wing and the difference between the two is great. However you will need a backplate and harness with the Frog, niknaks or divelife sell them for around 300 ish for the complete set up. There is enough spare webbing in the harness to put pinch clips in the shoulder sections if a one piece harness isnt your thing. Ive just googled the SEAC wing. That comes with a ally backplate and integrated harness where as the frog is stainless steel, that combined with the extra weight of the Heisers/dirdiving tanks will shave quite alot off weight off your belt. I use to dive with 6kg for twin fabers when i switched tanks i dropped to 3kg in v-weights and thats perfect weighting with minimal gas at 3 metres. The frog is also slightly less in price too.

I dont start back work until the 18th, so you are more than welcome to come diving. Bit of a trek though....

I'm unemployed and skint but free to dive weekdays will I find a J O B.

I've also got a frog midnight and its a great wing, like Gareth I found the inflater hose a little short for the first couple of dives then found it great, just took getting used to.
Although right now I've not been in a drysuit for 90+ dives and going to have issues, going with the dive god Gareth on Tuesday morning if anybody else wants to come along, feel free.

Gareth's used to diving in a three now that he is a god, where as I can dive with Jesus if I have too.

Davie.

will be diving a single cylinder and bcd on Tuesday in a suit I have never dived before so will be safe and shallow (safe ish anyway :P )

If the diving is any good I might just jump on a ferry. Got more work to do in the shop so I'll probably be over anyway.

RGIT is a bit of bun. The practical side isn't that bad. Norwegion legislation is death by power point. The first aid and firefighting practicle is a bit scant. All in all it isn't rocket science. You really need to make an effort to fail.

i guess you dont get a discount if you already have a 1st aid cert then?

the diving in the Holy loch isnt all that entertaining, but i did dive a barge in loch striven last week.
loch striven is only 30 minutes away from Dunoon & probably the better choice.
give me a shout when your over, dont think i can dive but we could meet in Sinbads for some light refreshments which i appear to have become amune to since being here for 3 weeks.:)

Ah Sinbads. That is a cracking pub. Good jukebox. Our shop is just up the road from it so it's our 'local'.

As for immunity I've heard stories of your drinking prowess ;) The practice will do you good :D
