View Full Version : Friday Night Diving
Anyone fancy a dive this Friday evening (24 Aug)?
not sure about the east coat but can check conditions later in week
otherwise probably L Long
open to suggestions though
The west woud probably suit me better. Friday is my last day at work and i don't plan on being there long if at all.
And I haven't dived Loch Long yet!
And I haven't dived Loch Long yet!
you're kidding?!
I would love to come because I think the conditions are likely to be very good! But i'll be moving house ... staring down the business end of mother of all DIY messes :o
So what site to you want to go to?
So what site to you want to go to?
probably either the Caves (http://www.congeralley.com/sites/thecaves.htm) or Conger Alley (http://www.congeralley.com/sites/conger.htm) or Glen Douglas Road End (http://www.congeralley.com/sites/gdre.htm)
what would be your preference?
Been hearing good things about The Caves. What time suits you?
Hey you dudes, ma usual buds are bein heroes and becomming commies.
Any chance I could meet you at the caves for a dive, I usualy go solo
anyway,so I wont bother you too much. Cant dive dive sat sun, so early fri@ evening would suit me ti a tea.
Scott yer infurra treat, cos the caves are awsome, speshally if the vis is
gonna keep up, the entry is a fekker, but the dive is worth it.
Cany make a thurs nite dive , cos am off to see the Chilies
play at Hampden, ho ho ho happy daze.
fran
I'm sure you will be more than welcome.
I think we're planning on meeting at about half six ish. I'm bringing someone else as well. Is there enough space for three cars?

There is just enough space for three cars, but any more than that and your stuffed!
I've seen us parking some of the cars in the next space towards Arrocher and transferring the kit to another one.
Enjoy the dive, excellent site and it looks as if you could be in luck with the weather. Would have joined you all, but I'm away for the weekend - non diving unfortunately.
/Colin. :D
Meeting at 1830 at The Pit Stop (so that I don't get lost  )
we might not be lucky for parking at the Caves if it's a nice night. :o
alternatives could be Conger or GDRE I guess
All things goin well,al finish around 4 ish,
then do the usual crawl through M8 at home time:rolleyes:
Al try ma best to get to pit-stop for 6.30pm,
if am not there, go without me.
but if I do manage to get there,we can car share etc.
young Loudy and I are diving Powmills this morning, about 10ish, if anyone want to join.
My last dives in Scotland, sniff sniff... :(
How did ye get on T2T?
our caves dive was great.
Yep cracking 1st dive at the Caves for me, definatley going back. Thanks to Charlie for arranging it.
Anyone interested in an Eyemouth dive this Friday evening?
Tell me where and when to meet. I live in Bellshill,so meeting out my way suits best.
yep count me in - organiser of the YD gig thats there with North Star on Sat & Sun so a cheeky extra dive would be super...
whats the plan??
Im off to Seaton Sands for the weekend so a relaxing eyemouth dive before enduring two 10 year olds for a weekend in a caravan might just be what the dr ordered. :D
What time are you thinking of?
Looks like Low Water 2.1m at 1758
Can the shore dives be done at low water?? Only ever boat dived from eyemouth
Yes eyemouth can be dived at low water.
Charlie does 1700 ish suit you?
Ness End only at Low Water forget Green Ends Gulley as getting in and out at Low Tide is a big No No. I normally take my kit off to climb the pipe at Ness End to get back out, plus you can't do Ness End Bay at low tide but Ness End Reef is a great dive anyway with lots to see and explore.

Green end gulley can be got out at low tide, just requires a bit of climbing
well having never shore dived form there i'm happy to do either, but the less climbing the better - not a mountain goat, more like bambi on ice unfortunately
I can be there from 1630 ish, silver citroen C4 and red & yellow drysuit so hopefully a few people will be turning up.
Sorry guys and gals, that's too early for me, so I'll dip out this time.
Cheers!
can make it later or even a night dive if thats easier for others??
just saying thats the time i can be there for and to sort monies with marine quest.
Think I'll have to give it a miss after all... a lot on at work. :(
Sorry! :o
Anbody going to be near Oban tomorrow night 5th October??
Heading down for the YD gig but could easily be persuaded to do an extra dive
Chris, Alex and I are off to St Abbs on Frdiay evening. 2 tanks each with my old favourite, Sluts Rock first (I think some of you refer to it as Cathredral) follower by one of the nearer rocks (maybe, tbc). Anyone else?
PeterM, his daughter and myself are heading up to dive the A-frames tonight. We should get there sometime between 1800-1900. All willing to join us.
Cheers
