View Full Version : Wolf and Angler fish locations
Has any one found shore dives that have wolfish or anglers present. They are reported in the old book writeups as living in the Eyemouth / St Abbs area but i cant find one :(
If no shore locations then boat dive info would be nice.
There is a resident Wolfish at Ness Ends Reef - Martin at Aquastars knows where to find it.
Not shore but the Skellies and Black Carr at St. Abbs I always find at least 2. Think I have seen them at Ebb Carr also.
I have heard of them seen at Big Green carr, but think it would only be juvenilles as its a bit shallow!

If you get to Wolfies hole over the back of Nest Ends then there are loads of brittle stars. Have a good scout around there and you should find yourself an angler. Just dont tell Martin at Aquastars where it is, we'v got a bet on and itll cost me a pint.

Can you give a little more detail as to the location of the hole during the dive. I have dived both nest and green ends so I should be able to follow a verbal description.
Also when you look directly down green ends gully out to sea there are a group of rocks in the distance. I know its near the fairway but I was tempted to go on to explore them on slack water. Any idea if the rocks are worth the visit.
I will try to dig out a photo of the rocks if you dont know the ones I am on about. I sort of half hoped to find the seals roosting there after the fish wife shuts up the Eyemouth willick stall that feeds them. Big fat seals them. So they sould be with the amount of fish heads I have fed them! the fish wife will be swapping the transit for a roller soon!:D
