plan A... Saint Oran... blown out!
plan B... Glen Shiel... Blown out by the time we got a grapple in to it.
Plan C... shelter behind the Lady Isle & collect scallops!

i didn't manage to collect any scallops as the dive went something like this...

Waddya mean blown out? I screamed past Ailsa Craig on Thursday morning with not a ripple in sight at a good 35+ knots and back again on Sunday at the same speed and it wasn't windy in between times...

...mind you, I was on the P&O Express ferry at the time...:p

You know how to avoid getting blown out on the St Oran? Invite along the raffle winner;)

i guess diving from the P&O ferry would have been more stable.
drop Jim an email (still got his addy?), i think they will be making attempts again in a few weeks.
weather window dependent.
not sure when i will be back aboard as I'm taking 9 weeks out to have my brain reprogrammed.
although i'd like to try & be there for the S.O. ;)

No I didnt know, cause if you watch carefully, she didnt
actually bite them, but she did when I was surfacing,
she gave a big 'ol tug of my right fin, she wanted me to stay and play somemore,Stewart had already surfaced, dang.
I just wish Stewart had caught me and her face to face or within 2 feet
I tried not to blow bubbles for about 10 seconds she hung there
checkin me ,checkin her, then off she circled to hang around with us
some more, it was a truly awsome dive.

i have read that seals can blow bubbles as a manner of threat towards other seals.
i didn't capture this on video as it all happened so fast, but one seal rushed straight at the camera, square on then turned directly upwards, showing its chest, fins splayed outwards while emptying both lungs of air.
i assume the seal saw my exhaust bubbles as a threat.
i backed off a little after this.
