I think you are busted mate if your diving career is over we can come to an arrangment for your kit.

.....Or you are looking after some gear for a mate, cos he does not want his wife to find out. Works for me. :D
Lesson 1.
diving gear is only expensive when your selling it!
try using this.....
'you wont believe the bargain i got on eBay for £50'
Lesson 2.
diving gear is always cheap when your buying it!
then try using this.....
'i should be able to sell my old set for about £80 so im making money'
the guys on CA have actually had a whip round & we are intending to bid on this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wooden-Vintage-Rolling-Pin-Very-Shabby-Chic_W0QQitemZ280138252320QQihZ018QQcategoryZ12293 7QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) as a wedding present.
more for your good lady to be, but i'm sure you will also benefit from it. :D

Aren't you planning on getting each other wedding presents? That could be it. (yours not hers) Lucky you - GG got a new kilt jacket and waistcoat - I'm sure he would much rather have had some dive kit. Me too!
I'll chip in with you on that one stew, send to mrs loudy! :D

Yoy guys are so funny. I love all these 'her indoors' comments. I must be pretty lucky. 'Him indoors' is really quite tolerant of my purchases and my holidays and weekends away. He said he did all the travelling he wants when he was in the navy (many years ago) and doesnt want to go abroad any more so I go myself, with our lovely club members. 2 x to Red Sea, Malta this year, and last year I ventured to Australia on my own:D Good luck with your 'story';)
:D :D in the end she took it well, tho i've some serious brownie points to make up,brilliant comments lmao :D

Just do what I do and 'Get her telt', then pick your teeth off the floor. My other favourite is to hide the stuff then pretend to have 'had it for years in my dive bag'.
P.S. The second one has never worked.
