work out your sac rate, work out what kind of diving your doing & work out the lift capacity of your BCD.
then you have the answer :)
i use twin 10's for standard <40m shore diving & twin 12's for boat/deeper diving.

Also work out how much wind you need to get your buddy to the surface if you need to share air. I must admit I was guilty of it, a lot of people push cylinders to a point where they might have enough to get home OK but not if they have to start sharing.
I like 7/300's but it depends on getting a decent 300bar fill.

The other thing to think about is that your are going to need weight in your belt with either option. For what it's worth I think you'd be better with 7/300's
According to the beaver website their tanks weigh:
10/232 - 11Kg (x2 22kg 4640L)
7/300 - 9.5kg (x2 19kg 4200L)
7/232 - 7.4kg (x2 14.8kg 3248)
The 7/300s hold almost as much as the 10/232s whilst being lighter and more streamlined (140mm compared to 171mm diameter). At the same time they hold significantly more air than the 7/232s and the extra weight of the tanks will come off your weight belt so free air for the weight.

Yeah they are much more negative than 232's. I don't use any lead at all with my 7/300's.
