Hi just wanted to share a shot of a lions main jelly fish with a co habiting fish.
Excuse the poor quality at depth natural lighting. Also the resolution that photobucket saves at is a little disappointing .But if you carefully look at the dome of the jelly you may notice the little hitch hiking fish. It is immune to the LM powerful venom and uses it for protection.
Next time you see a LM look out for the hitch hikers. Amphipods also live in the stinger filaments but are even harder to see.
P.S. take care approaching the LMs as they pack a big sting!!!!!
