Hello.
What is the standard mounting hole pitch for tanks on a backplate (if there is such a thing) I've seen 11" mentioned.

Cheers.

pitch is American slang for distance i think!
what i think your after is the distance between the holes & the gauge of the holes?
these can vary depending on the cylinder length, i.e. 10 litre or 12 litre etc. & also must correspond with your wing/BCD mountings.
below is a pic of two designs i made for back plate torch mounts which fit on to my twin 10's.
if they are of any use your welcome to use it.

Dive Rite's standard is 11" and I think that is what most other manufacturers work to, but not all. IIRC Scubapro, AP and Zeagle amongst others use their own spacings.

Cheers,

Stuart

Cheers guys.
The reason is that I was thinking of trying a v-weight and wondered is there was a standard pitch (space between holes :) )

But I don't think I can get one to fit twin 7s.

I'm going to try tie wrapping a couple of weights to my tanks. Looking to improve my trim. Want to put most of my weight on the tanks then some ditchable weight in pockets on my waist belt. I want to get rid of my seperate weight harness.
