Had a dive today with snorkel123,dumpty and db1 :D,on entering the water i felt my ahem crotch was wet (not nice :( ) but as i'd been looking forward to diving all week i thought ach it's only a trickle.
I lasted 23 mins by which time i think i'd turned female :p so i headed up,i was soaked and frozen (stiching's came away at the crotch) as i surfaced i met craigdiver and his mate at the shoreline,nice to meet you guy's.
Spent the rest of the day as shorecover :(,bummer!!

We had a nice day with Gord & Helen at Carrick Castle. We found a new (to us) reef! :D

Aye it was a bit of a bummer Charlie,what made it worse was snorkel and dumpty used my expensive nitrox and took home their own full cylinders!! (only teasing guy's but your due me a fill ;0)) ,a reef!! all i found a carrick castle was some old bottles ;)

23 minutes in Loch Long in June with a leaky suit?

If you remember right, our night dive in Loch Long in March saw me with a leaky suit (ended up with both legs soaked). I lasted 33 minutes!

Al,i was totally soaked i was peering in a hole head down looking for a conger and could feel the water running up my armpit :(,at 28M today it was 7 degrees.

if you remember rightly, on the dive/BBQ at conger last week, one of our club members (Bod) was wearing a wetsuit & did 2 x 40 minute+ dives.
7 degrees, he just laughed it off!
so i guess some people are hardier than others.

Same temp as surface in March then, I think we hit 6 degrees at 18m that night.
I probably didn't take on board quite as much water as you so I MIGHT just let you off with this one!
Mind you, . . .
I need to get another leak sorted, my left cuff started to perish and come apart last Friday at Conger (any time I dumped air through the cuff dump I got a run of water up to the armpit and down into the body of the suit. Got fairly wet but still managed 2 dives, 41 min and 34 min!
So you're still a total Jessie! :p

really wish i had taken my undersuit & not had to dive with my clothes under my dry-suit. small mercies!
but i was warm enough to last 55 minutes in the water avoiding deco by 2 minutes for most of the deep part.
so i guess your a wimp who cant read... :p

Yeah, Bod looked totally happy in his wetsuit, how did he get on changing out of it with all those midges about?
Looks like I'll also be wetsuit diving this weekend, bet I last longer than a feeble 23 minutes!

Even this southern shandy drinking englishman lasted longer than that in November in Loch Long with 5 holes in my old neoprene suit, I was soaked from neck down and knew it was time to thumb the dive when i could feel water sloshing around my back.

I was test diving a DUI FLX50/50 suit on Sat, neoprene legs for warmth, trilam upper for flexability, and self donning. Very nice :D
Need to see what I can sell to afford one though. Kidney anyone?
I couldn't trim the neckseal though, and I don't have the skinniest of necks. It now looks as if I've tried to hang myself.. :(

Regarding Loudy's leak yesterday, I have this image in my head of Loudy standing knee deep at the entry point, Barry kneeling in front of him and Loudy asking him if he can see his hole. :eek:
