With them being American I can only think of 2 senarios as to what was going on.

1. Both the pilot of the Chinook and the boat skipper were pissed, the pilot thought he was landing on a Helipad and the skipper didn't see him.

2. The small inflatable is all that is left of the USS Ronald Reagan sunk by the yanks it yet another friendly fire incident.

...... but seriously, I am really impressed with the seals getting thier RIB into the Cinook! ;)

The engineers must love those pilots the corrosion that will lead to on those old chinooks will be horrendous.

On a similar topic we use to watch the sbs going out the back of a hercules at low level into the sea with a RHIB
