Hey folks,

Wanna know if any of you have been shore diving in the Western Isles -Lewis to be exact. Fed up not being able to pop in for a quickie. The sites I have been directed to are like, well, St Catherines or Finnart on a training day! I don't have a boat-yet, but when I do those of you who know me or think you know me can come up and visit!

Hi Rockall,

Welcome to Conger Alley.

I can't answer your question unfortunately, but hopefully someone can. Possibly Ding?

If you don't get an answer here, you can always try Yorkshire Divers. We've only been going a month so they're still bigger than us ...

btw, drop into our Intros forum (Jimmy's Pub) to tell us a bit about yourself.

Cheers,

I'd be interested in the replies as I am from Lewis and might one day go back and do some diving while on holiday. Is there a local diving club?

There is a BSAC club meets in Stornoway but they charged me a fortune to dive with em. Then they wanted me to join before I could even get any air off them. Maybe they have changed their ways....

What a money grabing lot, We let new members who r qualified dive a couple of times before they join, or if they r on holiday or just visiting they just join in, after all we dive for fun. You only live once, eat, dive, drink tequila, sleep. What else is there to do. :D :D

PS forgot talk about diving on Conger alley........
